PipHen Skin was born out of a deep need for skincare that supports, heals, and protects the skin, especially when out in the elements with Piper and Henry.

After years of battling dry, sensitive, and breakout-prone skin, I turned to nature.

  • Where do you source your tallow and does it smell beefy?

    I source 100% grass fed, pasture-raised, non-toxic tallow from Prairie Siren, which comes from farms that hold the best standards and methods for production. They use a non-toxic approach to farming with healthy soil and a ecosystem free of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and heavy metals.

    The tallow is rendered multiple times to remove impurities. Once I receive the tallow I do a slow, low heat infusion of organic, dried botanicals: Rosehip, Lavender, and Chamomile. The result of this infusion is tallow that is very gentle, soothing, calming, and balancing.

    It also gives the tallow a very lovely, mild floral scent, no beefy smell and no use of essential oils.

  • Will my skin feel greasy?

    No, your skin will not feel greasy because the molecular structure of the tallow closely matches human cell membranes, enabling seamless integration with skin tissue. The three organic plant oils infused with the tallow are beautifully absorbed into the skin, penetrating into the deep layers of the skin.

    I also add a natural emulsifier, olievm900, which provides stability while lightning the texture for even and fast absorption.

    Nutrients can easily penetrate deep into the skin without leaving a pore clogging, greasy residue for bacteria to feed on.

    No, beeswax and a natural emulsifier, Olvem900 was used to maintain structure while preventing any separation.. The texture is soft and silky with almost immediate absorption, no residue, pilling or sticky residue.
